A few days ago, I posted an article about Isabel joining Sea Shepher to help saving the whales. A video and an article has now been released! Isabel looks really cute in the video, and it is an amazing cause. Isabel keeps inspirering! You can view the video here, and read the article below the video :)

The story behind the video

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is proud to announce the Australian launch of our new “Save the Whales” public service announcement (PSA) featuring renowned actress Isabel Lucas.

The announcement is work of Melbourne advertising agency Starship who approached Sea Shepherd with the concept for the awareness campaign.

Starship’s Managing Director Geoffrey McDonald Bowll said his team felt compelled to support Sea Shepherd’s work protecting the oceans.

“Starship wanted to design, build and promote a PSA for Sea Shepherd to raise much needed funds to shut down whaling in Australia’s Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary,” said Geoffrey.

“We hope that through our support and this announcement, one day Sea Shepherd will have an entire fleet of vessels defending the oceans for future generations,” he added.

Along with Geoffrey McDonald Bowll and Production Manager Matthew Peek, the team at Starship worked tirelessly to put together three storyboards, which were then put through rigorous testing to come up with a final design.

All that was then needed was the right voice to speak out for the whales.

Isabel Lucas

Sea Shepherd could not think of a more brave, passionate and dedicated activist and friend of the whales, than Isabel Lucas, also known for her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Isabel has stepped up for duty for the oceans numerous times, including raising international awareness by attempting to stop annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan in 2007.

Despite a busy filming schedule on the set of the Wolverine Production of Red Dawn in the United States, Isabel readily made herself available to become the face of Sea Shepherd’s “Save the Whales” announcement.

With the recent loss of the Ady Gil, Sea Shepherd is now back down to two vessels, the Bob Barker and the Steve Irwin, up against nine vessels of the illegal Japanese whaling fleet.

Sea Shepherd is hoping to raise the funds to even up the odds in defense of the great whales in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary.

Hello netters :) As some of you might have noticed, Isabel Lucas inspired has been offline during most of the day today! Our host has had some issues with one of ther servers, but it is all fixed now. Quite a lot of things has happend to Isabel today, but insteed of adding tons of posts with articles etc, I’ll just make a quick catch-up-post here. Everyone should also start following our twitter for all the lastest on Isabel and the site incase something like this ever happens again!

DAYBREAKERS:

As you all know, daybreakers is out out on cinemaes in both the UK and United states now! There is already quite a lot of reviews popping up, and I will try to add some of these to our press archive in the next few houres. The reviews I have seen so far is pretty good ( Some even fantastic! ) but it seems like our belives and fears where through – that Izzys part is very small. Some even say that she has less screentime than she had as Alice in Transformers: Revenge of the fallen, but I dont know if this is true yet.

So everyone in the UK and US: Run to the cinemaes and watch it, and then let us know what you think! The movie will not be on cinemaes here where I live, so I really need your reviews to make up for it hehe :) If you want to read about Daybreakers, you can do so in our career page.

The Climbing of Mountain Kilimajaro:Isabel and the others has finished day two of climbing, and is currently sleeping at 11,000+ feet! You can follow them as they climb at summitonthesummit.com. At the site, they post tweets, pictures, videos and more! All thing relate to Isabel will also be posted here at the site, but my computer is having some problems loading the page.

Screencaptures from a video of their first day is already up in the galleries! You can view the video here. Tumbnails of the captures:

I have also added three photos of Isabel from the travel to Tanzania on Monday, aswell as a picture of Isabel and the others posing with some villagers in Tanzania.

Gallery links:

- 4th January 2010: Traveling to Tanzania x 3 files

Miscellanous pictures of Isabel and the others in Tanzania x 1 file

- Day 1 # Interview with Isabel screencaptures x 27 files

Stay tuned for more pictures, videos and more when Isabel and the others continues the climb :D And remember to give them all the support that you can!

Sea Shepherd recruits Aussie starlet Isabel Lucas for TV campaignToday there has also been announced that the Sea Shepherds have recruited Izzy for a TV campaing! Isabel has been a supporter of the Sea Shepherds for many many years, and have repeatedly said that she would love to work with them. You can read an article about it below:

JAPANESE authorities have criticised the environmental activist group Sea Shepherd for abandoning a vessel at sea, apparently leaking fuel and debris.

The Ady Gil was crippled in a collision with a Japanese whaling ship in the Southern Ocean on Wednesday.

Sea Shepherd spokespeople have repeatedly claimed the boat had sunk, and today the activist group abandoned the scene.

But Japanese authorities have released photographs which show the Ady Gil wreckage is still afloat in pristine Antarctic waters.

The official Institute of Cetacean Research said an oily substance thought to be fuel was leaking from the wreckage, “raising concerns that Sea Shepherd is willfully polluting the Antarctic environment”.

A Japanese vessel salvaged part of the severed Ady Gil hull and some arrows.

The institute called on Australia and other countries to prevent Sea Shepherd’s “vicious” sabotage of the whaling fleet.

( Read the rest of this article in our press archive )

And that ends the catching up on news for now :) Since our main page has been offline most of the day, I spent the time working on our galleries insteed. I have added a bunch of personal candids, in which Isabel looks absolutely gorgeous! Since this post is becomming very long right now, I’ll not post any tumbnails. But just simply head over to the Last additions in our galleries, and you will be able to view all the new photos there!

There might be some more updates later on tonight, but I will probably jump into bed sometime soon. But expect more updates on Izzy and the other climbers tommorow! :)
